Dear Eugene users,

the new version of Eugene, Eugene v2.0.0, will be coming soon (Spring 2015) and its release will be announced properly. In the meanwhile, you can experience Eugene v2.0.0 using the EugeneLab web application.

Currently, downloads only of Eugene v1.9.1 are available. Eugene is provided as:

• Open source, free to use, extend, improve, and distribute under the BSD 3-Clause License
  Eugene v1.9.1: code
  Eugene v2.0.0: coming soon!
   
• An executable Java ARchive (JAR) file, enabling to execute Eugene scripts, for example, in a command-line interface. For this purpose, a Java Runtime Environment (>= 1.7) is needed.

• An embeddable JAR file to integrate Eugene into Java-based applications. To facilitate its usage, we provide Java code examples.

• A XML-RPC web service, enabling to invoke Eugene remotely and platform-independent. To facilitate its invocation, we provide Java and Python code examples.
